Halibut with Banana


1 1/2 lbs. fresh halibut fillets
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
5 to 6 tbsp. butter or margarine
3 firm green-tipped bananas, cut lengthwise
lemon wedges

Dip fillets in beaten egg. Mix salt, pepper, garlic salt, and crumbs in a bag and shake fillets one at a time in the mixture.  Melt 3 tbsp. butter in a large frying pan over medium heat.  Fry fillets until brown on both sides and easily flakes.  Remove halibut to a warm platter; quickly brown bananas on all sides and arranage on platter with fish. Garnish with lemon. Serves four.
